i'm 14 and i babysat all this summer. you could put an ad in the paper and see if anyone needs it. i reccomed to babysit a 10 or 11 year old younger can be annoying sometimes. yes you have to act like it's not bothering you but you also cant let them get away with everything. when you're starting out see how hard the kid is to manage and start out at about 3 dollars and hour and if they're really hard to take care of then raise it. dont raise it too much or youll loose buisiness.

If you're younger people will find it harder to trust you with their kids. Unless you're a friend of the family or known by neighbors and such it may be more difficult to get a babysitting job. Personally, I'd want a babysitter with some kind of expierence, and a good head on their shoulders.

Babysitting jobs don't pay much. Maybe 3-4 dollars an hour per a kid. When I used to babysit for 4 kids, for about 5 hours I only god paid 25 bucks.

In my opinion, it all depends on how mature you are. I think 14-15 would be an appropriate age to start babysitting. You just have to be careful, and have a watchful eye. Kids can get into some crazy stuff. For babysitting, I think a good price to start at would be $5-7 an hour. Or you could just ask for $20 a day. Whichever is better for you! But just remember, minimum wage is like 5 or 6 dollars, so you probably don't want to ask for much more than that! Other jobs you might be able to get if you are old enough would be fast foods restaurants, stores such as Wal-Mart, or maybe if someone you know has their own business, you might be able to help out for some pay. Just look in the local newspaper for Help Wanted ads! If you are under the age of 16, you might have to wait til you turn 16 to get a job. But you can still look around! Good luck!

13-14 is a good guideline for the youngest you should be when starting out. Depends on your maturity level, the age of the kids you're watching, how long its for, etc. Try to negotiate with your client how much the pricing should be, it might turn them off if you charge too much, and it'll make them think you're not very good if you charge too less. To start out maybe you could put up flyers around your area, but babysittings great though because you dont really need to advertise much, most of the jobs you get are by word of mouth by happy clients.

ok i think you should babysit a kid at the age you think you can handel. also you could hang up flyers for a babysitting job and putting some good qualitys of yerself. now i think you should let the parent of the child set the price.

hope this helps
