hi i thought i you could help me in a little problem im having...
ok well i like this guy n i told my best friend and now she is trying to talk to him for herself instead of helping me out...its been about a week now n he is totally ditching her and she is mad that i still talk to him n like him..wut i want to know is if i was to go out with him does she havet he right to be mad at me or not i dont think so since i liked him first but i dont thinkk she will feel the same!!

I think that right now, since neither of you is dating him, he is fair game. However, since you told your friend that you liked him BEFORE she started trying to get him for herself, then she is sort of betraying your friendship. If she's not helping you get him, she should be leaving him alone, since you asked him first.

Since he's ditching her, it probably means that he doesn't like her. That doesn't meant that you shouldn't talk to him though. If he was really, really mean to her, you might not want to talk to him anymore, but if he is just blowing her off, then I don't think it should be a problem.

I don't think that she has a right to be mad at you if you go out with him. However, she probably will be mad at you anyway. I think it's like this: when you said you liked him, she started to realize that he was pretty cool, he wants nothing to do with her and now she's steamed, and if she can't have him, she doesn't want anyone to have him.

So, if you don't mind her being mad at you, go for it. I agree with you that she doesn't really have a right to be mad, but that probably won't stop her.
