Don't listen to any of the other advice here. Or at least most of it, because it is wrong. There isn't a single state in the US that has any law against an 18 year old boy having sex with a 17 year old girl. Most laws state a 3 year difference, and most states make it statutory only if the "victim" is 16 and the offender is 19 or older. You have nothing to worry about. Well other than getting pregnant and STDs. =P

It is illegal anyway, if he really loves you, messing around won't be all that matters, and he'll be willing to wait.

if your parents dont want you to do that or they want to press charges against him, he could go to jail. it would be considered statutory rape. even if it consentual.

I don't think you'll get into trouble. I wouldn't worry about this too much. The only way you'd get into big trouble with someone that is 18, if you were around the "pre-teen" ages. 17 and 18 isn't a huge difference, it's only a year. I wouldn't worry about this at all. As long as your parents like this boyfriend of yours and approve of you and him being together, you're alright.

I don't think you can get in trouble. First of all, he would probably only get in trouble should your parents decided to sue, and even if they did, the fact that you are both in high school together protects you. If he won't be in high school, I still don't think there is enough of an age difference for it to be illegal, but it varies from state to state sometimes.
