Why would you give a guy who played your friends the time of day anyway? When it comes down to it you'll probably have your friends a lot longer than some guy. Especially when he's a seventeen year old who doesn't know his ass from his nose, though some guys around that age can act somewhat mature.. it's questionable.

Anywho, you'll probably feel out of place not knowing anyone. That's a given. But you can always spread your wings and introduce yourself to new people.

Personally, from what you've said about him. I'd forget it and have to reject his offer to homecoming.

It is really up to you and no one else since he did ask you. Of coarse you care about what your friends think but if they are really your friends then they should respect your decision no matter what it is. You will never know when he will ask you out again and you will have regrets if you don't go. As far as your friends advice they are just trying to let you know how he treated them when they went out but that doesn't mean that he will treat you the same. I hope that I helped but if not you can visit me at my column.

if i were you and you really want to go .. then take the chance hun! you might not have that chance to go to homecoming with him again .. and if you don't want to only because your friends don't like him .. then your friends don't understand that you really want to go .. so do whatever you want to do .. if i were you i'd go because just in case you never have that chance again .. unless you don't like him and stuff .. and who cares if you don't know anyone i've gone to a dance with a guy that i only knew him and no one else and it was really fun .. because i went with him and it was just me and him .. so it was really fun! i think you will have fun if you went because i did and i didn't know anyone but him .. but if you don't like him and stuff then don't go .. but just remember .. you may never have this chance to go again! alright .. i hope i helped! if you need anything else just drop one in my inbox! good luck hun!
