Hey all.
I have a spanish teacher, and he is saying, doing and drawing things that offend me.
We learned the body parts in spanish, and sometimes he makes us stretch. Well one time he said "no for estomoigo" (i am horrible at spelling, and that means stumach) and he would like rotate his hips. like in a circle.
then recently we learned things to do, like dance,(bailar) and sing (cantar)
and he would to the actions and then we would have to say what it is outloud, and in spanish. He would go, "me favorito" (my favorite) and start to "dance" and he would like do like humping type things it was so wierd. and like push his but out like fast but slow at the same time(if that makes sence)
And then, this is what totally offends me. he will draw people, and they will be having a conversation in spanish. He will usually draw a rap singer, (a male) and then a "curvy" female.
Usually Jenifer Lopez or Beyonce. He draws them with extreme curves.

that middle pard would be like the hips. and its gross. he will write, like "bootielicious" as the guys responce,or something like that, and he says it sometimes.
My friend said today that she liked to run (correr) in spanish! and he drew a picture of her, and he made her have really short shorts, and said that she had really short shorts! I understand it because of running and all, but thats gross!!
Also, today we had a fire drill, and the alarm things were going off, and he kept saying "attencion a me, attencion a me,
attencion a me,attencion a me,attencion a me,attencion a me" (that means, give me your attention) and he would not let us leave! he always wants us watching him, creepy. and then he always blows a whistle! its soo annoying and he did that today!
I dont think that has much to do with sexual harassment, but it is dangerous!
If you need to know more, ask!
He is a really good teacher, but he is young, and a lot of the other girls find him attractive, but i dont, because I find him offencive sometimes. I know he is a good teacher, and i want him to continue teaching, but I dont want him to do this stuff. is there anyway I can say something (not to him) to an adminestrator or someone, but not in a mean way, just to talk to him about what he does that Myself and some other girls find offencive?
Do you think that this is sexual harassment? am I totally over-reacting??
xOlaurenXo answered Tuesday September 20 2005, 10:08 pm: Heyy<3 You are not over-reacting at all don't even think that. That is like sexual harrasment. I can't believe he made you guys STRETCHED in class. WHAT A PERV!!! Anyway I would tell someone about this. Maybe go to the Guidence Conselor and tell them how you feel about this teacher. They will help you and maybe he won't teach you for spanish cause he won't be able to. Bring some friends to the Guidance Counselor also so you have some more information and resources from your friends. I hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!!

By him drawing JLo and Beyonce on the board with curves, he's doing it to exaggerate and to be funny. But everything you mentioned in my opinion just sounds like he's trying to be a cool, hip teacher and trying to get people to like him, that's all. If you have a problem with the way he's acting, take it up with your guidance counselor. But in my opinion, he's doing nothing wrong. tasuki answered Tuesday September 20 2005, 7:14 pm: His behavior seems very inappropriate to me. Whenever you feel harassed, it counts as harassment! Definitely go to a principal or your parents. THIS IS ILLEGAL. Don't worry about being "mean" to him. Part of being a teacher is to not harass students; if he truly is acting inappropriately that means he is NOT a good teacher. Teachers have to follow rules just like everyone else and he is a HUGE rulebreaker.
GANGStAhBAbiiEx answered Tuesday September 20 2005, 7:12 pm: Talk to him first, if he doesnt stop or tone it down bring it up to an AP (bring several friends along so it doesnt seem like its just you). I think that this teacher sounds a little weird. Tell the adminisraters you are not getting a good vibe from him. Like how he didnt let you out durning the fire drill and i would also tell them about the short shorts to. If you have any of those pictures that he drew that would really be a big help to the administraters.
not_your_star34 answered Tuesday September 20 2005, 7:07 pm: That is strange. I would tell an administrator about the short shorts thing, because that's pretty creepy. I would also tell them about the fact that he would not let you guys out of the room during a fire drill.
Has he done anything else sexual? Mention that, too. If you want, you can leave a message in my inbox, I can help you more.

By vibe i mean you don't really like the way he does things in his class. If you have andy of those pictures that he drew that would really be a big help to the administraters. If he gets talked to and nothing has been done talk to the administraters about it again.
Hope i helped
