Cramps

Question Posted Friday September 16 2005, 5:38 pm

I never got my period yet I'm 13/F.
Every so often (Like once or twice a month) I get these cramps that make me want to cry and I have to sit or lie down when I get them. When I got home from school today I got them and its excruciating pain I mean like bad enough to cry over. These cramps hurt SO bad. It feels like someones stabbing me and slowly pulling the knife out and torturing me. After I get these cramps I can't walk anywhere for like an hour. Do you think I'm going to get my period soon. (My mom got hers at 10)

99% your getting your period soon. Maybe a few days or a few weeks. But when you get those cramps take a hot bath. By taken one it usually helps me. Or i'll take midol than take a nap or something. But if I were you if you had midol take 2 of them and than fill the tub up with hot water & relax for a while. The hot water really helps. Trust me. But if you dont have midol, just take advil ! And good luck with it. Periods are a pain in the ass !!! hope I helped <3

I got cramps the day before I got my period.
Cramps dont nesesarily mean ur getting your period though...and they usually arent suppost to hurt that much, unless its genetic. Periods happen after all the normal stuff in puberty. check to see if you have any of the following:
1. vaginal discharge
2. leg, underarm,and pubic hair
3.Breasts
If you have these, your period will come soon.

it may help a little bit.

I think you are getting it. Just take in the pain until you start growing and it'll just come naturally. Don't be frightened of whats going to happen. JUST LOOK FORWARD! If hurts, talk to your mom about it. SERIOUSLY, DON'T BE SCARED TO TALK TO YOUR MOM ABOUT THESE THINGS BECAUSE I BET YOUR MOM WENT THROUGH THE SAME! So ask her about it and not feel so awkward of asking your mom for advice. If it hurts a lot. Tell her. Describe to he ron how she's feeling. Don't ever be scared because its part of life. You're just growing up into a young lady. Talk to your mom. Hope my avdice helps. Stay cool!

i *think* you may be getting it pretty soon, & your body is just getting prepared.
but i honestly am not to sure, but i think its a good idea to tell your mom about it, she might have something that can help, or call a doctor.
but for when you get these, a heating pad works well, and ibuprofen.
