hey guys.
Im having trouble with my homework. I have to make a graph with a "break symbol" & I have no clue what that is. I searched through my math text book for a definition or example & I couldnt find one!
Does anyone know? Thanks! I give 5's!

LoveCouldntBeAnyBetter answered Sunday September 11 2005, 7:52 pm: the break symbol goes on the x or y axis right after 0.. it symbolizes that you skipped an amount of numbers and are starting at a higher number such as 50 or 100
oxshortstufffxo answered Sunday September 11 2005, 7:30 pm: a break symbol symbol comes after the 0 in a graph. it symbolizes a space between the 0 and another number. it looks like a "z" tilted up. so for example, you would put a 0, then on the line above it the break symbol, then a 40,50,60 etc. [ oxshortstufffxo's advice column | Ask oxshortstufffxo A Question ]
LoveNJstyle answered Sunday September 11 2005, 7:12 pm: i think the brak symbol goes above the 0 and all the way across to show that you want to skip some number then start on a higher one and go by different intervals especially if the numbers are high but exact. hope that helps! <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
