Hair Rollers?

Question Posted Sunday September 11 2005, 6:36 pm

I have thin hair about a bit past my shoulder and I was wondering if curlers...or rollers, I don't know what they are called, would work for my hair. Also what size should I get. I'm not talking curling iron but you know, hair rollers. Does anyone know any good brands of them also, and if I should use any hair products in my hair when I use them?

It has been ions since I was anywhere near a roller, but I can help a little.

If your hair curls pretty easily they will work great. If you have straight stringy hair...don't bother. The curl won't stay long.

The brand doesn't matter...get whats cheap.

The bigger the roller, the less curl. If you want small curls get small rollers. If you want waves or just want to add body use larger ones.

I never used...or let me rephrase that, MY MOM never used anything with them and my hair curled like crazy (I wanted straight hair!).

Hope that helps a little.

You know what works really good if you go buy the sponge hair rollers get anysize that you like theres 3 i think the large one, the middle and then small ones for small curls, put them in your hair when its wet and then sleep with them in your hair and take them out in the morning... it should work really well good luck...

Hey there,

Myself I have really long curly hair (and would give ANYTHING for it to be straight!!!)

My best friend though has really thin, straight and limp hair and the way I curled her hair for her when she got amrried was a lot cheaper (and a lot more comfortable!) then heated rollers/curlers.

All you need to do is buy a cheap pair of stockings (any colour will do!) and chop them straight across then make a tiny hole in the middle, poke the end of your hair through and roll it up toward your scalp...... leave it in all night then just before you take them out spray them with hairspary and take them out..... DO NOT BRUSH YOUR HAIR ONCE YOU HAVE DONE THIS!!! IT WILL GO FRIZZY!!!

Halfway thorugh the night if you find your curls are getting a bit limp then spray some water (only a little) on them and they'll bounce back up.

Cos it's really cheap to do you can practise a few times before you actually need to wear your hair curly!

You are SOOOOO lucky to have straight hair though!!!

Take care

Mel
