hehe i think i have an idea who this is.. :) and you say he likes slipknot.. why not get him a cool slipknot shirt or something.. and i don't think that the slipknot dvd is dorky b/c he'll like it. why don't you try asking one of your GUY FRIENDS. *cough* "susej" *cough* he might have a good idea.. and no matter what you get him.. i'm sure he'll love it if it's from you.
Hope I helped. <3 ]
hes gonna be 16 and he loves cds. get him a cd holder for his car. :)
I got that for my boyfriend and he uses it all the time.

You could get him a few Slipknot T shirts from Hot Topic or Slip Knot memorabilia (posters, figurines, etc). Also, you could take him out for lunch or dinner that night or treat him to icecream. You could always get those Slip Knot patches (the ones you sew onto jeans) and then maybe a 20 dollar gift card to Hot Topic (or whatever you feel like spending) ontop of everything else.
You didn't give what your budget was, so I'm not sure on how much you're willing to spend. So depending on how much you have, you could go with either one of those things, all of them, or a few of them. It depends on your budget though. ]
I think your right on most things. The slipknot dvd might just not be his type... and a gift certificate might be impersonal. How about ... you get him a nice shirt that is still his style, but in style... for whatever might look the epitomy of what he is. I would combine that with Lindt/Godiva chocolate, and a smaller gift certificate since you got other stuff. He's bound to love atleast one of the things you get him! And this way it won't be impersonal because you got him more than you would get your friends because its his bday! I think this is a perfect idea, I hope you like it as well! ]
