Mainly, just keep yourself organized. I am in HS, and the key thing to passing is you have to keep yourself organized. Keep all papers from other subjects out of your math folder. Put away all your papers IN the folder not just throw them in your bookbag. and take good notes. If i take good notes, then i can refer back to them. I found that helpful especially in Geometry and Algebra. But yea. thats mainly it.

In my school that's the only honor class they offer so I'm used to never paying attention and never studying and getting an A. However, this is different. Take a ton of notes. Then for a few nights before the test look over them and have a parent quiz you. If you can't pay attention for too long keep a rubberband around your wrist. Whenever you start to daydream or look out the window snap the rubberband on your wrist. You will get the sensation of pain and pay attention. Soon enough you'll learn to pay attention without even thinking about it. I hope I helped! [ Erinn_the_bamf's advice column | Ask Erinn_the_bamf A Question ]

First things first: DON'T CRAM, but DON'T TAKE TOO MUCH TIME on a SINGLE subject. Before a test, a couple nights before, study like 30-60 minutes per night. And just review the night before.
Also, if you missed something during class, ask some of your classmates or even your teacher for help. DON'T be afraid OR ashamed. I mean, even if they say no, it's not like YOU're doing anything wrong.
Finally, review what you're learning on the weekends for like 15 minutes before you go to bed. Just refresh your memory & get yourself prepared for the upcoming school week.

But, even if other kids aren't taking notes even without being asked, you should just so you can stay on top of everything, and if you ever forget how to do some problem, you can always look back in your notes to see how to do certain problems!
