swirls
does anyone know how to make these kind of swirls in this pic...[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
not like when you have to download a ton of programs (maybe just 1) just if theres a way to do it with paint or jasc paint shop pro studio...

Ouch, sort of difficult to do without a good program, but if you really wanted to do them;
Do some retarded looking swirls freehand, then blur them so they look pretty smooth using gaussian blur, or just some kind of non-distorting blur, then sharpen the image so that the edges of the blur sharpen. You might have to put the contrast up to make the edges sharp, but you should be able to get nice smooth (and hopefully well formed) curls through this method. I made a desktop pattern doing this once, so it's kinda handy knowledge :)

Well i have animation shop.. just go to www.jasc.com and d.l the free trial. then go to www.dafont.com and download the font Porcelain, and if you dont know how to unzip it, go to www.winzip.com. THen go to Start, My computer, HP_PAVILION (C:) *or you might be D instead..idunno* then click on WIndowns, Fonts, and then find the font. Then unzip it. In the left corner it should say "Extract ALl Files" when you clicked on the font. Click that and fallow the directions. When you have it unzipped Cut it*instead of copying it* and go to Start, Control Panel, Appearances and Themes, then on the left it should say Fonts, and then Paste the font in there.
Then go into your Animation shop and Copy/paste the piccha of you or w.e you want with swirls on it. then click the A at the top and find the font Porcelain and make it BiG, liek size 75, or you might have to type in liek 85 or sumthing.. it depends on how big the piccha is. They have to be on Caps Lock. the best letters to use is A, B, P, O.. stuff liek that. and just put the swirly part of the letter in the corner.
thats what i do and it looks good. for an example in my advice column my piccha has swirls that i made.

You can do that kind of swirls and stuff with Jasc Paint Shop Pro but you need to download brushes to use with it.
