Acquisition is specialised, good looking, and hooks up to a couple of networks including the Gnutella (Limewire) one, but for some reason, limewire seems to find a lot more. It's usually crap though, like porn and adverts, so maybe Acq. has a filter or something.
Mackenzie answered Friday September 2 2005, 10:57 am: Don't get Kazaa. Kazaa downloads a bunch of Spyware behind your back. It'll fill your machine up and slow it down by 300x!! To be honest, I've never used Limewire, because I've never had the need - Bearshare does me just fine. I believe you're talking about Bearshare, at least, because I've never ever heard of Carebear, and it would only make sense that you meant Bearshare. It can be downloaded at: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) Yes, it's free. And while I've never ever ever had ANY problem with viruses and spyware as a result of Bearshare, this is not to say that it CAN'T happen. It's possible.. on ANY site, so just be aware of this.. Karen answered Thursday September 1 2005, 11:00 pm: I would use Limewire, rather than Carebear or Kazaa. It's fast and shouldn't give your computer any viruses. I've never heard of Carebear but Kazaa would be another program that you could use. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]

I personally use Limewire it's pretty good. Kazaa is way too slow, and carebear is alright.
