Theres not much you can do for that. It might be infected, the red and swelling is supposed to go down within the first week or two. Just keep cleaning it and see if it subsides. If it starts to get pusy than you know that its infected. For bellybutton rings they reccommend 6-8 weeks before changing it but i wouldnt change it untill the redness goes down. You'll know when its healed if it stops being red or swelled, and it doesnt hurt that much when you touch it.

if it's still red you've got an infection. wash it gently with anti-bacterial soap up to 3 times a day and then spray with anti-bacterial spray too. when you wash it, gently move the jewelry around so the soap gets all over the jewelry and through the piercing. don't try to change it until it's healed and healthy.

Ok, you should put some peroxide on it and let it kill the infection. Don't change your ring until the reddness goes away.

you need some anticeptic or anticeptic lotion which might reduce the risk of infection. becuase infection can happen at any time until fully healed do not change the ring onto a banan one yet the fact is that most people do it. the redness should fade away with a few days f its being up to 6 weeks healing time depend of the individual, different people vary

good luck and God bless

Don't put ear care stuff on it like was told below.. Well it could work, but where i got mine done i was told to not put that on it.. Anyway, the redness will be there for awhile, you cant make it go away because your skin is still irritated. Wash it with orange dial soap in the shower, or use salt water and lay on your back and just pour a little in your bellybutton, that heals it faster. You shouldn't change it til 3 months after the peircing. Bellybutton piercings have the longest healing time out of any peircing. It takes at least 7 months to heal completely. I wuold also recommend going back to the peircer to have them change it, unless its one of those run down tatoo shops, because when i went back they cleaned it so it wouldnt get infected when they changed it and everything. After that i changed it myself again, and it got infected because i didnt haev the proper cleaning stuff, and my bellybutton wasnt quite healed yet, and believe me an infection there is the worst thing possible, it gets reallly gross. Hope this helped<3 be careful with it, its very delicate<3

xox rate<3
