Swimming: My period
Tommrow i have to go to this swimming party and i really wanna go cuz all my friends will be there and some really hott guys..lol but im supposed to have my period tomarrow and i dont where tampons yet cuz this will only be my 2nd time haveing my period! Can Somne PLEASE help me!

Get classic tampax in the smallest size you can(slim or juinior, not sure wich) and absorbency matched to your needs (NEVER use something too absorbent, and try to aviod super-absorbency, cuz TSS sucks major monkey butts) and bring extras cuz you need to change it somewhere from every 2 to 4 hours. Instructions on how to get it in come with every box, as well as every thing you need to know about TSS. Of course, there is a chance it may leak, wich will suck, but if it's in right it prolly won't. If you can't get it in, or don't want to, go but don't swim, even though it defys the point of a swim party. If niether of those appeal to you, fake sick! Though if it's only your 2nd, it may still be irregular, so you may get lucky and not have to worry at all! Hope I helped.

well since its your 2nd time it wont be on schedule..so you might have it the next day after it or a month so if you do get it ask your mom or somebody to tell you what to do..but if you dont get it then just bring some just in case

honey, the only way you can swim durring your period is to wear a tampon. Trust me, I would know, i tried swimming with a pad on....u just don't want to know...but i'll tell you neways lol. they blood just flows right on out in the water and you can see it (b/c its red lol duhh) and its disgustingly nasty...ask your mom to buy you tampons before the party and if you don't know how to get them in just ask your mom for help. Trust me i would know...plus i'm just a few older years than you so i know that its embarrassing but just talk with your mom..

Don't worry girl! You can wear a tampon on your second period. I wore them on my first.. as long as your mom doesn't care. Though because it's only your second, you might not get it. Your body is young and your periods will be irregular for a while. You might not get it tomorrow. If you do, ask your mom if you can wear a tampon. It'll be okay to wear one. Actually, I prefer a tampon to a pad. A pad sortof feels like a diaper (haha!!) but if you put a tampon in correctly, you won't even know it's there. If you DO get your period, try using junior / slim tampons. You can't swim in anything else. :- I was kindof nervous the first time I tried a tampon, but it doesn't hurt. Just be relaxed. Every box of tampons has an insert about the most comfortable / popular positions to stand / sit while inserting a tampon. Those are very helpful. Also, ask your mom for guidance. She'll probably be able to talk you through it before you try it.

you can surly wear tampons on the 2nd period i did. just get a junior size or regular and cut it down. but if you really dont feel comfurtable just chill out bye the pool. say that you got a really bad cut and dont want to make it anyworse bye swimming or something.

tampon would probably be the best, but i don't like them, blah! what you can do is take a small thin pad, like 1 of the panty liner 1s[ultra thin] theyre like extremely small, make sure you get the right type, and stick it in your bathing suit right before you get in the water, because your period stops. if you have easy access to the bathroom that is. when you're done get out and run to the bathroom and put a regular sized pad back on. i know, it's a hassle, but the only other option is a tampon. if you do use that method w/ the panty liner pad and the reg. pad, then make sure you stack up.
