No, tums dont relieve period cramps. Tums are fot heartburn. Midol relieves period cramps and so does iBprofin. try that =)

Tums can help with the cramps since they have calcium, which is believed to fight pain signals in the body, in them.

However, for period cramps you would probably be better off using Mydol or Tylenol.

I don't know why they would. They help coat your stomach but period pains are not in your stomach, they are abdominal pains. Midol works very well for the headache, cramps and bloated feeling. :)

Hmm. Ya know.. I've never thought about that. Maybe??? I guess it's worth a shot? Just try it once, and see how it turns out.

Really, many women start taking pills around the clock from the time their cycle starts, until it ends. Any pain killer will do, but I reccommend Ibuprofen, Extra Strength Advil or Midol -- it's also best to take medication with a meal, that way the risk of stomach discomfort is slimmed.
