I'd say so, yes. Your first periods are very irregular. You might get your period three months in a row, then skip two months. Your body isn't mature enough to have a regular 'cycle' yet.
Sometimes your first period will be really light, and may only last a little while. It might look similar to discharge becacuse it is so light. Some girls' first period is heavy and lasts for five or more days.
You might have cramps every time you have your period, that's just part of it. I do, and there's not much you can do about it besides take some Midol (or ibuprofen / Advil) and a heating pad. During your period stay fairly active. Do something active for at least 20 minutes per day. This will help relieve tension, bloating and cramps. Also stay away from caffine, this will help keep cramps down.

when you get you're period the first couple of times it's wierd because sometimes its really heavy and other times its so light you can barely see it.. If there was blood the first time then you did get your period. The first time i got mine it was hard but the next day it was really light and i didnt get the next one for four months. So also dont worry if it comes late or ealry because your periods are inconsistent when they first begin. ]
when you first get it its very unconsistent. like you could get it for about three days and never have it again for another 3 months or you could have it every 2 weeks. but after about a year or so it will start to get more consistant and pretty soon you'll know just about the time when it comes so you can be prepared for it.
hope i helped.

yes you do have it but its gonna be like that for a bit because your body is just not used to it yet good luck -Amanda ]
It could be your period, it doesn't happen all the time it does stop u have it every month for a week around the same date though. you may have done this at school, i don't have to go through the whole stuff,it would take me ages. hope i helped. ]
Yes, you officially have it. It may start out slow, and maybe you won't have it at all for the next month or so. More than likely it will start normally in the next couple of months. Here is a link for you to read up on what is happening.
