BeMyPrInCe22 answered Thursday August 18 2005, 4:45 pm: Tell her that you need to shave cause your getting around the age of other ppl starting and it is very normal and several friends already do.. she will likely understand unless your culture or something is against it
emmii answered Thursday August 18 2005, 11:40 am: well if you havent already asked her once, just ask like "mom, can i start shaving i am kind of embarrassed of the hair..." but if you have just ask her if she is afraid you will cut yourself on accident and if that is the case ask if you can use nair or veet bladeless shaving kit!

brunettecutie answered Thursday August 18 2005, 2:24 am: well i think that the best way to ask your mom would be, "mom, well i am getting older now and i really think its time i shaved my legs. most of my friends are shaving and i really think i should" just tell her something like that and you will be fine!'
FunnyCide answered Thursday August 18 2005, 12:41 am: Hello,
Why don't you try one of these methods?
- "Hey mom, I've noticed the hair on my legs is getting pretty long. I'm sortof self conscious about it and I was wondering if you could help me learn to shave or use a hair removal cream."
- "Mom, alot of my friends are learning how to shave, and I was hoping you'd teach me."
- "Mom, I'd like to try shaving because the hair on my legs is getting really long."
Moms ALWAYS want to help their daughters learn how to shave. It's just a simple fact of life. If you don't understand it now, you will later. Ask her if she'll help you learn how to shave, or use an electric razor (won't give you razor burn or nicks, but doesn't cut close to the skin) or a hair removal cream. If you have sensitive skin though, or if you're allergic to soaps, don't use a hair removal cream. I did once, and I was terribly allergic to it. It WAS NOT FUN! Haha.. just ask your mom nicely if she'll help you. Throw in that you're self conscious about it and that your friends are learning to shave. Might help? :-)
