Hair

Question Posted Wednesday August 17 2005, 4:20 pm

Alright it's marching band season for me right now and i flat iron my hair...it tends to get frizzy and poofy by the time i get to school even tho my hair is very straight at home when i touch it up. any tips on how to keep it from waving and making the poofyness dissappear? Could it be the flat iron i'm using? thanks =)

Just touch off your hair with hairspray!

it could just be the humidity try using a frizz ease serum and a lil bit of hair spray to seal it in. Hope it helps!

Some kinds of hair just don't stay straight for very long. Try using a straighening spray such as L.A Looks Straightening Spray, before you begin useing the flat iron. You can also use a friz spray after straightening to make is shiny and less friz prone. Frizz Ease by John Friend works well for most people. Hope that helped! <3

it could be the flat iron your using. try do find a wide one with ceramic plate. if it isn't try putting product in before you anything. I think superscuplt by paul mitchell is good. You should try it. Tell me how things work out.

Ash - well you should be using a ceramic straightener because those work the best. And if your hair is thicker than you should make sure htey have a heat setting because i used to have the same problem but so i just got a hotter straightener.

Lamma - well i have thinner hair, so i cant really identify with your problem, but i know i have some friends with thick hair, who regularly go to a saloon to get it thinned. i'm not sure of the $$, but i think that would help with the 'frizzy-ness'

Thanks for your time, and feel free to ask for nething in the future!

GOod Luck :)

I dont think its the straightener that is causing your hair to get frizzy. I think that you should get John Freeda Frizz ease.. it works good and it wont be frizzy anymore. Blowdry your hair and brush it and keep it smooth and healthy. But the John Freeda stuff does work so try it! Its not expensive!
