Camouflage Birthday 2

Question Posted Friday August 12 2005, 4:00 am

I asked a question before about my nephews army themed birthday party and I had another question:

I am thinking about letting them have a water war with water balloons and water guns. But it's really hot and I'm not to thrilled with the idea of having to pick up all the pieces of balloons out of the yard. So, I was thinking that maybe I could offer a prize to the kid that picks up the most pieces. My question is: Do you think it would be rude to ask the kids/guests to clean up the yard, even if I turn it in to a game?

No not at all.....I am sure that the parents will understand that you have went through all the troble to have a party that you do not feel it far for you to do all the work... It is a very clever idea and I am sure that the kids will be very intriged by the idea of a prize...

In this situation well in a way it is because it's suppose to be something fun to do plus just let them have fun just do it for his birthday. Or you could have them play another game with fake toy guns that don't send flames to shoot at a wall or buy other fun games he'll enjoy and it could help by asking him or his mom.

Definately not. Juss do it in a fun way. I think a prize would be good, because it could make such a mess. Maybe some of them won't even mind doing it. Good idea.

-hope i helped!

If I remember right your nephew is 11. 11 year old aren't likely to be fooled into cleaning by making it a game. Technically since the kids are guests, you shouldn't really ask them to clean up. I would just stick with the water guns and not do the water balloons. Trust me they can get soaked enough with the water guns without the mess of the balloon pieces.
