wat is a ob-gyn doctor.. or w/e it is.. i know what they check.. but like wat do they actually do??????? because people say that is more gross than going to the doctor and them just looking...... so like please tell me

hey well they check to see if you have any problems or abnormalities down there....they check for infections or STDs that you dont even know you have sometimes...its nasty because you have someone digging around down there..it doesn't exactly hurt but its feels uncomfortable...dont be embarrased though..everyone has to go through it! hope i helped x0x ♥ caite ♥

An OB/GYN - often just called a gynecologist, but some are also obstetrcians (aka, doctors who deliver babies during birth). They are the experts on all things specifially female - and that's what the look at, poke, prod, take samples from, test, etc.
As far as it being gross? I can't say it is any more gross than any other doctor having to check for hernias, do prostate checks, colonoscopies, or even take a throat culture for strep... body parts are body parts, really... OB/GYNs just have to deal with the more "intimate" regions.
