Mackenzie answered Saturday July 30 2005, 2:26 am: This doesn't seem like anything to worrie about to me, Hun. The time span of a cycle varies from individual to individual. I think that if it keeps up, and keeps a constant flow over the next week to week and a half.. THEN would be the time to seek a medical opinion. Until then, I wouldn't view it as a problem. :) [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
Nevaeh314 answered Friday July 29 2005, 6:59 pm: Yeah, that's normal, especially if you're withing the first 2-3 years of getting your period. It takes a while to regulate the cycle, and it can be light one month, heavy the next, even skip a month or two in between. However, if yours is accompanied by heavy cramps, headaches, or pain in your legs, and won't go away with regular pain medication or exercise, and it prevents you from going about your everyday life, talk to your parents or your doctor. Some people have irregular cycles that won't regulate themselves naturally, and a doctor will usually perscribe birth control pills every 3-4 months to help regulate it. Hope this helps!

vickiooos answered Friday July 29 2005, 5:12 pm: maybe in the past month or few months youve been changing the way you excercise or diet or stuff. mine use to be pretty short too but then they gradually got longer and heavier, depending on how hard i worked out during that month. it's pretty normal but if it bothers you, you can check it out with your doctor. DeeSireDiOr answered Friday July 29 2005, 5:12 pm: Hey
awww dont worry sweetheart. That's perfectly normal. Your period won't always last the same amount of time every month. It usually should but its not always gonna. But theres nothing wrong with what's happening with you. About the heavy flow thats normal too. Don't worry. But if your still worried just go to a doctor and ask. I'm sure he/she will explain everything to you. Or just go talk to someone older that you feel close to. If that doesnt work then i have some sites for you.

karenR answered Friday July 29 2005, 3:18 pm: I think you should probably get it checked by a doctor. Your period really shouldn't last that long. Doesn't mean there is anything drastically wrong so don't get upset but get it checked out.
Sometimes girls on the birth control shot depo provera have been known to have extremely long periods. Could that be the case? :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
