Nope, it doesn't make it smaller but it DOES tone it up. I've tried it and it does work, honest!! It won't work much by itself but with other excersize...yep. Do it whenever you would walk - you'll burn more calories walking backwards anyway as it involves more movement and more concentration.

Walking backwards, or sideways, is good exercise for the buttocks. But it's not likely to affect the size of your butt; unless you're thin as a post and work out like crazy, the size of your butt is due to fat more than muscle.

Working out the buttocks will tone them, and might change your shape a LITTLE bit, but it won't particularly burn the fat in your butt. Your body's chemistry determines where fat is going to be be, and no matter how much you work out a specific area, if you're burning fat your body won't take it from that area only - it will take it from all over your body.

You'd get better results from general cardiovascular exercise (running, swimming, biking), some moderate weight-training, and eating a healthy diet featuring a wide variety of vegetables and fruits.

There are a lot of silly miracle-cures that get passed around, particularly on the web. One day people say that eating nothing but pickles will help you lose weight, and the next day it's an all-red-meat diet. Or a new exercise, or something.

It's a good idea to be pretty skeptical when you hear about a miracle cure like that. It's usually not true. Obviously you were a little suspicious of this one, or you wouldn't have checked here. Good for you!

♥Who told you that? I think they were joking. The best way to make your butt smaller is eat a healthy lowfat diet, or wear flattering pants. There really aren't many ways to make it smaller, but there are tons to make it bigger. Sorry I couldn't help much, but I just wanted to save you the humiliation of walking backwards thinking a miracle was going to happen.
