Ask your friends what don't they like about him. That way you can see their point of view. If they just don't like him explain that they don't have to like just that they should be supportive of you. Why don't they like your boyfriend? Do they see something that you're not seeing? Talk to your friends and find out the reason why they don't like him. If their reasons don't convince you, simply tell them that while you appreciate their concern, it is your life.

Same thing happen with me. I simply told them, listen, I like him and that should be good enough for you guys.
