DrJenny answered Tuesday July 19 2005, 3:29 pm: Hello,
First of all, as you are only 14 you are quite likely to lose excess fat around your thighs as you are still growing. However, in the mean time, excercise ic the best way forward, provided to stay with it. Ten to fifteen minutes a day really isn't very much, and well worth the end results.
Lay flat on the floor on your right side, raise your left leg as far as you can comfortably manage, hold for a count of ten. Aim for fifteen of these to begin with, gradually building up. Repeat on your left side.
Alternatively, buy a stepper. [ DrJenny's advice column | Ask DrJenny A Question ]

2cute102 answered Tuesday July 19 2005, 3:22 pm: ok, to lose weight in your thighs, jog like a mile or a half a mile every day to build strengh so you don't have to go to a gym unless you want a higher level workout. Right at the moment i am starting to ride bike and roller blade, swim, and maybe start jogging. Play a game of basketball or tennis once in awhile to stay toned. Hope this helps!!
