barbiedollx answered Monday July 18 2005, 10:58 pm: You can get them from anything really. For example if you don't go pee enough you can get one. But some other ways you can get one is:
-Wearing underwear that is too tight
-Wearing a bathing suit that is wet for long periods of time
-Taking a bubble bath and the chemicals from the bath flow up into your urinary tract
-Having sex, the friction as the guy thrusts into you, it hits your urinary tract and stimualting it too much stops it from working properly [ barbiedollx's advice column | Ask barbiedollx A Question ]

ncblondie answered Monday July 18 2005, 6:27 pm: There are many causes but the basic reason is that bacteria is introducted into your body and travels into your urinary tract. Try keeping your lower area clean and dry. If you are having sex, make sure to go to the bathroom before and after you have sex to help flush the bacteria from your body. babygirl17 answered Monday July 18 2005, 4:58 pm: I'm not exactly sure why you get urinary trac infections. But i've been told by a numerous amount of people that when you have sex you sometimes get them. So if you are sexually active this could be why you would get one. But you need to see a doctor about it if you have one. They give you meds for it..
