Since you don't like to run, walking will provide the same benefits. Bicycling will also tone your legs and backside. I have a wonderful exercise bike where the arms move with the pedals which tones not only the legs and backside, but also the arms and I've noticed some toning in my stomach. An easy ab exercise that you can do anywhere is simply contracting the muscles in your abs and holding for 5 seconds then releasing. Once you get used to that you can contract and release at a faster pace. These can be done anywhere-in class, in the car, while watching tv, etc. [ ncblondie's advice column | Ask ncblondie A Question ]
azngemini answered Wednesday July 13 2005, 12:47 pm: if you want to tone your stomach, then you should try leg lifts. just lay on your back on a flat surface, and lift up your legs at the same time. your legs might get sore after doing this a few times, but it actually helps to tone your stomach, and it's easier than crunches. i dont know any exercises you can do to tone your back, but i think that if you use a medicine ball, it can help you. I dont know what exercises to do cuz i've never actually heard of someone trying to tne their back..
and for your legs, you should try squates. lay against a wall and position yourself to make it seem as if you were sitting on a chair. you have to make it look like a square from your thigh to you calf to the floor to the wall. I dont kno if that makes sense, haha.. but from your thighs to your calves, there should be a 90degree angle.
