I just found my husband's biological father for him a few months ago. They've talked on the phone a few times since then, but he lives in Canada, so it's expensive to talk. We don't really have any money to go visit him either, and we won't for a long time.
I've heard of organizations that help families meet each other after being apart for a long time. Something like they might help pay to fly my husband to see his father. Does anyone know about anything like this? Any information would be incredibly helpful.

This enables people to speak to each other over the internet both using audio and visual, it's better than a phone and has been proven to be much, MUCH cheaper. It's becoming very popular, and the program itself is free to download. It can be used if both parties have the program or if only one person does (i.e. yourself.) I haven't used it but I've heard lots of good things about it, you could maybe give it a try for the time being? If it doesn't work out, sorry about the bad advice. :P
