Get to know him better; Maybe go to the movies/mall with him, some of his friends, and your friends. This way you guys can half some time to hang out and your friends can see that hes not like the other popular guys! But if when youre hanging out with him he starts heading towards that reputation, move on ..you can admit youre friends were right and youll find a much better guy!
