JAMMA also stands for japanese arcade machine manufacturers association. it's the standard regulation in any and all arcade machines in the world. the JAMMA harness is a bundle of wires that connects everything in the machine together, and this harness has to be certified by JAMMA before it can be used at all. it's all pretty cool stuff...if you're into arcade things that is.

JAMA also stands for the Journal of the American Medical Association, where a lot of important medical research is published. Maybe that's what you heard about? Did you hear Asian doctors or researchers talking about it? What was the context? Be careful about generalizing about any group of people.
