No soda, only 1 cup of 100% juice per day (and no roll-overs - if you don't have one on one day, you don't get 2 the next), and try to not eat very many carbs (rice, potatoes, carrots, sauces, sugar, grains, et cetera). For bread, keep away from white and only have some that looks at least "tanned". Meat, green vegetables, and water are your friends; other vegetables, fruits, and milk your buddies; grains and juices your acquaintances; and munchies, sodas, and juice drinks your enemies.
A person should drink half their body weight (measured in pounds) in fluid ounces of water per day. Less water than this reduces your metabolism. More than this won't increase it, but, as long as it's not terribly more, won't be unhealthy. What that means is that you take your weight and divide it by 16, and that's how many fluid measured cups of water you should drink per day. I don't know how milk and juice effect this amount, but you shouldn't be drinking more than 2 cups milk or 1 cup juice a day anyway.
When there's the option of walking or biking vs driving, try to do the former rather than the latter. If you do a lot of watching TV, try to get up and be busy during commercials, or pause the movie every 15 minutes or so and walk around.
Do not purge - this will do tragic things to your body's chemistry, not to mention throw your health right out the window. Good looks are not worth sacrificing your health - a healthy woman is far more attractive than one who is annorexic. [ mushoku's advice column | Ask mushoku A Question ]

Also, when you are thinking about going to, lets say, McDonalds, think to yourself, that you are working on losing weight. Then decide on maybe, Sub_way or a small salad. When you go to eat some patato chips, or even something else, even if its healthy, like carrotts, put it into a small bowl, in an appropiate, preportion, and dont eat out of a bag. a lot of time, people mistake bordeoum for hunger, or eat becaue they are bored. maybe instead of eating when your bored, you could go outside and take a walk, cut the grass, gardgen, wash a car, shoot some hoops, take a dog for a walk. also, when you get hungry, drink water, it helps because it will fill you up, with out making you gain weight!
i sure hope this helps!

And if you'd like to tone youR ass and thighs, leg lifts aRe just the ticket. And lighting weights [doesn't have to be heavy, even if 3 pounds] will help slim down youR biceps IMMENSLY!! And of couRse the obvious sit ups foR youR tummie.
Also, pRoviding you cut out the EXTREMELY unhealthy foods, such as WHITE bRead [substitute it with wheat], cake pRoducts, ice cReam, hambuRgeRs, and soda... [if you'Re used to consuming A LOT of it] you can see a MAJOR diffeRence the fiRst two weeks, ALONE. My fRiend did it.. and we weRe both shocked to all hell!
As you pRobably alReady know, it's best to eat SEVERAL SMALL poRtions a day. Say, have an apple and a piece of cheese, two houRs lateR have a few cRakeRs, and an houR lateR have one piece of wheat toast, and so on and so foRth, ya know??? Little intakes of food like that givs youR body time to digest it pRopeRly. You see how that's betteR than eating one oR two huge meals a day... because it takes too long to catch up, and it can not buRn the caloRies quick enough, and then just quits, adding body fat.
But of couRse weight loss takes time.... you just have to stay committed, and have the dRive to keep it up. TRy to keep youRself busy... and sleep as often as possible... these things keep youR mind busy and off food. I can't Really say how long it will take; I suppose that diffeRs fRom peRson to peRson. It Really just depends on how much weight you'Re looking to shed. I'd say you could lose 10 to 20 pounds in a month; that's veRy possible.
