Uh oh..
Normally I'm the to give advice to girls on this site who think they are pregnant and tell them ways to calm themselves so that the stress doesn't affect them any more. Well, one of my BEST friends told me that she thinks she's pregnant. She is on the pill and uses condoms all the time when she has sex. She finished her pill on Saturday (the 26th) and was supposed to get her period on Monday (the 28th) it is now Thursday, and she still has not gotten it and that it has NEVER been any later than Wednesday. Like I said, I'm normally giving other girls advice on how to stay calm, but I can't keep myself calm! I mean, this is my BEST FRIEND we're talking about. I told her to try to stay calm and take a nice hot bath and think POSITIVE but now it's alittle hard on me. I'm really nervous for her right now. What should I do? To help both me AND her?
I'm going to be there for her no matter what, if she really is pregnant I'm going to be there for her through the whole thing.

If shes on the pill and uses condoms its not real likely that shes pregnant. She is either stressing, exercising to much, not eating right or some other thing that is causing her to be late. She COULD be, but not likely. Both of you need to go out have a movie and a dinner. Don't discuss it at all for an evening. If it doesn't show up in another week or two then check it out at a clinic. :)

she may be pregnant but if she is, you'll support her and if she's not, you'll be relieved but you'll still support her. She probably isn't though because periods do that. They come and go like days. Sometimes, my period does that and I'm 19. It's O.K. Have her see a doctor or take those self-check pregnancy tests. Those work... sometimes. I think seeing a doctor. Some kinds of self-check pregnancy tests detect first signs of pregnancy but some don't so if you choose the self-check one, be sure you get the right kind. Like I said, I would see a doctor, just to be ABSOLUTELY sure. If she's on the Pill and uses condoms, she's probably very very safe. She might not have gotten her period on the precise date, but periods don't come or come late often because people haven't been eating right or they're too stressed. Or it just comes late sometimes. So just wait awhile, and if she's not having her period for a long time, see the doc.

I hope I can put your mind at ease and your friends. I was on the pill for 12 years, IT ALWAYS WORKED. It never failed me. Millions of women rely on the pill each month. So I think she is fine, but please why don't you both to out and get a pregancy test kit from the drug store, and give her a pregnancy test. Some of them can be used early on, as soon as a pregnancy is suspected. She should try it before she starts the pill again, for the next cycle.

okay i kno what you are gonig through (not really) but like i would be there for my best friend too!....what i would do is tell her to go ot a doc....i would go wiht her and like i would prey for her and tell her to prey.....dont worry about it that much....they have support groups for this kind of thing and every thing.....i hope everything works out for her!

monday was the 27th and its the 29th today. Sometimes periods are late so you shouldnt jump to conclusions exspeacially if she is on the pill and uses condoms. Your a good friend for being so concerned and being there for her. Just continue to do that and dont worry until at least sat. okay?-trix
