if he opens the door for you and he reaches for your hand first anything consiterate not his usual typical way of acting ( depending on if he is a jock or whatever) are hints that he likes you and if you arent already dating him get in the all up in his buissiness and if he likes you enough to go out with you HE will ask first.

Alright you should know if a guy likes you if he seems to be paying attention to you. Usually we like to look...but sometimes we get caught...and sometimes we like to get caught. So if you notice this...or have heard from any sources that he is interested that would be good. I hope that he doesn't know the "hard to get" game...cause then that means he likes you...but doesnt want to show it because he feels it will help him achieve getting you...i dont think thats it right now though. I think that you should try being this guys friend...and getting to know him and hanging out...that way when you do or if you do ask him out that he won't feel its weird. Then after you guys are friends im sure he will be the one who shares his feelings...if not you go right on ahead and pursue it. Don't just jump into a thing with a guy for a relationship. If a guy likes you he will:
-stare at you when you are not looking, and then when you look, turn away
-include you in conversations
-be playful with you
-turn red if he is embarrassed around you
-talk to his friends about you
-ask your friends about you
-call you
-instant message you as soon as you get online
-ask what movies you've seen lately and if you want to see one
-tries to help you when you are in need of help

-in a sweet letter, left somewhere you know he (and only he) will find it..or just give it to him

If he tells you, really. Lots of people send the wrong signals, and lots of people misread signals, so he'd hav to tell you for you to be able to know for sure. Otherwise, if he tries to spend time with you or does sweet things, those are hints... but no gaurantee.
A cute way to ask him out? Walk up to him and tell him he should ask you out. Act all sweet and cute when you do it, of course. If he says no, you can just be like "why not?" and pout, but if he does say no, just accept it and don't get all embarrassed. Maybe you could be like, "that's ok, you will later."
Or you can tell him he's going to go out with you or take you to dinner, but don't do it like that unless you know he will - you'll look really stupid if he says no.
I think those ways would be cute if done right.
Easier methods would include just telling him you like him and want to go out with him and letting him decide, or just asking him "Will you go out with me?"
