my dad is a phsyco, and i've lived with it all my life, but now my mom is talking about getting a divorce, at first, i was devistated, but now i want them to divorce b/c i'ld most definatly be happier. AnYwAy, my mom wont talk to me about it anymore and i want to tell her i would support it, how can i do that without sounding lik im a total physco lik my dad???

X0C0URT answered Wednesday June 29 2005, 12:38 pm: Next time you are hanging out wih your mom (in the car, making dinner, etc) talk to her about it. Just make sure your dad isn't around. Let her know that you know there have been a lot of problems between them lately, and if they are thinking of getting a divorce you will support it. Tell her that you think everyone would be much happier that way. Just make sure you do it gently. Don't say, "You guys need to get a divorce because dad is a psycho!" That will make her feel pressured and even worse about the situation. Good luck, and I'm sorry you have to live with this!
