Question Posted Tuesday June 28 2005, 7:33 pm

Hey everyone.. well i'm kinda worried.. i don't kow what is wrong with me! i feel really guilty whenever i eat. i'm pretty sure it's not anorexia but i just dont know what it is. i've gradually started eating less and less because the guilt is just overwhelming. im 99 pounds and 5'2" and i know that's liek average or whatever but when i look in the mirror i always just see myself as HUGE. i have been getting really bad headaches lately from not eating as much as i usually do but its not enough to make me eat more because i just keep thinking about what my thighs would look like if i ate say a cheeseburger. at first i just started eating healthy foods but now im even afradi that THOSE foods will make me fat. help!!!!

well i hate to say but i have felt those axact feelings before. i almost helped myself so i thought i might try to help you. obviously if im writing this. anyway 99lbs is underweight babe for only being 5 2. im the same height and i way 115. you know you need to stop this now. you are falling into an eating disorder. if might not be full blown but really what it is deosnt matter. theres all different forms of eating disorders. whats more important is what you do to yourself, not what its called. anyway keeping eating. try to eat a little more each day. eating healthy foods cant hurt you one bit. now the guilt. i hate that part. its the absolute worst. but after you eat anything, do something to get the fact that you just ate off your mind. exercise or take a walk or a jog or do some sit ups. what ever it takes. and it helped me control some of the guilt. i just had to keep myself busy. fix this now before your addicted. it also helps some to tell a best friend or someone to help you through it a bit. youre okay. you'll be alrite.

honey, first off, if you weigh 99 pounds, you are N0T FAT!.. so there`s really nothing to worry about. Second of all, you HAVE to eat. It`s what keeps you alive, and you wanna live ritee? you shouldn`t be feeling guilty about yourself. Maintain a good balance of healthy foods and junk food [just a little every now and then], and exercise! you can eat a cake for all i care, you still won`t be fat, as long as you don`t make things like that a daily habit. If your really still curious, ask a doctor, and he`ll be sure to give you more advice and comfort on this topic.

hope i`ve helped you!

you sound just like me two years ago. and i've had an eating disorder for two years. trust me, it isn't something you want to slip into, but i'm afraid that you've already started to. you need to go see someone or tell your parents or talk to the school counselor - SOMETHING while you can. the more you wait the harder it is to stop. it's a never-ending cycle. i was also in dance for 11 years and i know what the pressure is like to be thin, but you'll be fine if you eat normally. you need to get help. NOW.

thats called anorexia buddy. you really need to go and talk to your parents or a doctor. this is VERY serious, and you could even die because your body isnt getting enough nutrients.

I think that you shouldn't get advice from the people that you have never met on a website and if you have been feeling this for a while that you should go see your doctor and they can help you. And this could lead to serious problems. I know what you are going through though.

I hope this helped.

your weight right now is perfectly normal, your kind of like me. I have the same problem, i am always consious of wat i eat mainly because i take dance..and all the girls there are VERy skinny. But all you have to realise is that we r a normal weight size, and that if you feel like havin a cheese burger then tell urself that u will work out later. This way you wont be so self concious wen eating a fatty food. If you balance out food with exsersize then you wont be so self consious

sorry to say .. but i think you are slipping into anorexia. you need to start eating more again because it isn't healthy. but dont eat junk except every once in a while. dont worry, fruits and veggies wont make you fat. and if you stay healthily active, lots of meat wont plump you up, either. you need meat for protein and energy, as well as fruits and vegetables. eats carbs (bread, pasta, wheat basically), but not as much as the other food groups unless youre going to be in a marathon or something, lol. excercise to keep healthy, but dont overdo it. dont start out with 200 crunches .. instead start with 50, then 2 days later 75, then 2 days after that 100, and keep climbing GRADUALLY. that way your body can get used to it.

hope i helped

Its ok, by no means are you fat. And no, 99lbs is not average, it is on the unhealthy side. You need to be putting some meat on your bones. You may have a small case of anorexia, and the best thing for it is to start eating again. Do what you were doing. Eat health foods such as vegetables and meats. Breads and fruits, and processed carbs tend to be the ones that cause you to gain weight. It is healthy to get a balance between all the food groups. My suggestion for a healthy diet is to search the new food pyramid on the web. This will give you the diet plan for you based on your age, height, etc. and you designated weight. You shouldnt feel like this, no one should and your headaches are definitely attributed to this. When you don't eat, your brain does not get the proper nutrition and is working off stored glucose. This is making you feel light headed and having a headache. If you have any other questions, feel free to IM me. Check out my SN in my column. Hope I helped! Rate!

Sincerely,

-TW
