MissAverageGirl answered Thursday July 28 2005, 8:34 am: The simple answer is no, you shouldn't care about what other people think, and everyone, including you, should be happy for your mom.
But honestly, we both know that some people can be really cruel, and so you might get teased and people may say some stupid, mean things to you... but people willing to do that, aren't worth your time.
just stick with your friends, and be proud that your mom is happy :-)
hope it helps

No, you should not care what other people think about your mother. It may be a bit embarassing to you... O.K, a LOT embarassing but you should be happy for her. She has found someone that she loves. No, I don't think that will ruin years to coming in school. If everyone is mature, they will understand it the way you do. Trust me on this.
MCalways answered Thursday July 7 2005, 5:07 am: Its going to be a hard thing for some people to handle, but dont worry about them. This girl is just ignorant. You've already told your friends, and they are ok with it...thats all you need! [ MCalways's advice column | Ask MCalways A Question ]

I don't think you should let it bother you to much, your friends already know and are cool with it. Nobody else matters much.:) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
