I'm having a really hard time looking for a job. I applied to all the really good jobs that I like. And they said they would call, but they don't. Then my cousin got a job and said that she called them back. And she got an interview and got a job. Now I'm job-less. I did what she did, and they said that either their manager was on vacation or they're not hiring right now. Why can't I get an interview? I'm still applying and I made sure that my handwriting and answers on the application was acceptable. Does anybody have any tips on how I could get a good job?

Every teen and college student is out there looking. If you don't find anything you might want to try volunteer work. It will help you to meet people who can help you get a job in the future. Looks great on a resume. And if it is something you enjoy it may give you heads up on a future career. A great place to look for a job is a hospital. They have everything from cafeteria work, transporting people to and from places in wheelchairs... just about anything you can think of. Most have volunteer programs to if you should be interested. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]

You can keep trying but if you want a job now you might have to lower your standards and go with fast food or something, hate to say it.

And plus, if you work at some place you like, you'll get bored of the place. So pick a job you can get, instead of a job you want. [ ComplexMind's advice column | Ask ComplexMind A Question ]
