burning cds

So i asked a question earlier about burning cds and stuff. Ok i found a BLANK cd rw but it says its full and it wont let me copy anything to it. But then i also found a BLANK cd r but i cant find it anywhere on the computer. Can anyone help me find a way to burn some songs?!?!? im so lost! PLEASE HELP!!!!!! * i give 5s to anything that helps

I'm not really a computer genius but heres my advice. Make sure that when you check to see if it is blank or not, see what it is you're checking for. It should be somewhere on there. Like if you're looking for music and there's none on there it would look blank. But maybe it's got a ton of typed files or something. Or pictures. You can also buy blank cds and those are blank for sure. Hope this helps.
