hey! i have dark dark brown hairs (it almost looks like black hair) but i want to go a lighter color what color should i dye my hair???

i think that u should dye your hair like a copper color or a lighter brown and maybe get some cool blonde highlights too make it look cool.

If i were you, i would start with some light highlights, and then go deeper with the highlights! If you already have highlights, and you feel comfortable dye it. But i dont recomend Dying it right off the get go. Try highligting your hair the color you want to dye it. I hope this helps

my hair is the same color and it would be a pain to dye all of it and do touch ups so i went with read streaks and it looks great. you can see my pic in my advice collumn.

i would just put highlights in your hair like blonde.......aurbon.....light brown.

maybe instead of full out dyeing it all at once,ihighlight it now, see what people think about how it turns out and after a while if they like the highlights they'll prolly like it all a lighter color, just don't do it all at once it would be a big change because you have really dark hair<33

Dying youR entiRe head is a dRastic thing. Basically, in oRdeR to keep it fRom looking stupid fuRtheR down the Road you kind of have to keep up with it when it staRts to gRow in, ya know? I have daRk bRown haiR as well, and what I did a couple yeaRs back was get caRamel/oRangey coloRed highlights. I used the HeRbal Essences kit, which is easy and only about $7.95 at WalgReen's; it's GREAT STUFF!!! HoweveR, of couRse you **DO** get a betteR job at a salon, but foR about $70.00....

Hey there. Well, I think that instead of dying your hair completely you should just try adding highlights first until you get a color you KNOW you LOVE. I think I would go with 2 tones for your hair or one of the two: A honey brown color, and a golden blonde. You should get foil highlights all over. This will lighten you hair all over but not be as drastic as dying it and f you highlight your hair, even though your roots will start to show, they will be even more noticeable and come sooner if you completely dye it. I wouldn't recommend going blonde blonde unless you wanted that obvious fake highlight look then you could get CHUNKY blonde highlights. But if you are looking for a lighter summer time color, get the foil highlights thinly all over. :)
