I have heard that too....but its not actually true. What your body does is eat the fat that you have. Ex.....if you have a big booty....han you body will start using that fat as a supliment. Your still going to be hungry, but it will hold your stomach a bit. Hope i have helped.

However, when you are not eating, your metabolism slows down, which means it takes longer for your body to burn the fat that is already has. So if you didn't eat for a while, and then you started eating the same as you did to stay at your weight before, you would gain, since your body would metabolise the food slower.

Eventually if you eat under 500 calories a day your bodys matabolism will slow down, so when you do start eating again your body wont burn calories as fast as it did before.
