Singin' Sister

Question Posted Thursday June 9 2005, 8:36 pm

My younger sister who's eleven has an amazing voice for her age and I really want her to be discovered! Her birthday's coming up in July and I think that if I found a way for her to get noticed it would be a great birthday present. Can anyone help me find a way to help her be discovered?

Additional info, added Thursday June 9 2005, 9:08 pm:
She wants more than anything to be discovered, though, that's why I want to do this for her..

Talk to your parents! Call, write, e-mail agencies in your area. Record her signing onto tapes or cds (include all her information and a head shot!) and send them to local talent agencies and cross your fingers for a reply!

Search talent agencies, and set up a surprise appointment. sure it's a little costly. but it's worth it ♥ash.

Send in Demos! My father is a owner of a production company, so go look for some sites and send in CD's of her singing! :) You can go to www.tripleplatinumrecordsandentertainment.com and send them one! And good luck to her/you :)

Really find out if she's good.
I know this might sound like bitchy or whatever, but you really don't want to break her heart if she goes auditions for some major thing, and they blunty say that she sucks.

I was told that I had an amazing voice, and my parents didn't believe it. So, like, I'm not sure where you're from, but in NJ, there are "Regional Chorus" things for like the northern region and stuff, and it's basically this choir that you audition for, you have to sing a preselected song for you, and do some scales, and if you're good, you will be selected to be on the choir.

There are these in NJ for 7th up to 12th grade, and I've been doing it ever since. If your school has a chorus teacher, ask them to find out if your state offers this program.

*This, however, only happens once a year.

But, what you could do now, is to go hire a voice coach, and help her train her voice and enhance it more with better breathing techniques and everything. It will really help your sister's voice improve while going through puberty, and teach her how to since properly like with your diaphram and stuff.

GOODLUCK LOVELY!

Video tape her singing and post the tape on the internet. You can tape her onto a casette and send it to the radio.
Hope I could help!

You could call many karieokie stands and see if they want her to sing i would not pressure her at this young age.

To get people to "discover" her at the age of 11 would be terrible. Im sorry, but when kids are that young they shouldn't have the hassles of having to make music for people. At least in a job setting.

Afterthought: Fine, since I gave you plenty fine advice and you gave me a two, i'll give you some advice worth a two.

Take all her clothes off and throw her at old men in bars and say they touched her. When shes in court then have her sing.

2, thanks for the appreciation.
