If you aren't a moderator, then your question is sent to a page where Level 2 and 3 moderators moderate or approve them. It could take a matter of a minute or two if a Level 2 or 3 moderator is on this site but we have lives (I'm a Level 2 moderator) so most of us are on summer vacation, at school, or working. Check out this link for more information; [Link](Mouse over link to see full location).

Maybe it's because you're so eager to help other people that you just can't wait to answer another question. And when that happens, eagerness to do something, things unfortunately tend to slow down. So, I suggest that after you have finished answering all the questions, that you go and look up things on another site to help you not be bored. Then come back and answer more questions. I hope I was some help.

Unless you are a moderator, your question needs to go through the approval phase. A moderators question will automatically show up on the main page as soon as we hit submit. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) states: How long does it take for my question to be approved?

If all the moderators are out drinking, your question will appear on the site in three hours whether it's approved or not. Often it only takes 30 minutes or so for a question to be approved though. Of course, there's always a change that your question may not be approved at all, but there's more on that topic down below. If you're a level I moderator, your question will go straight to the viewing pages without needing to be approved first.

There's a limited amount of 2nd level moderators. They must approve each question. I assume tons of questions are asked, but not as many are approved. When you get bored, you should surf the net. Find a website you're interested in. By the time you come back, there will probably be new questions. =)

FunnyCide answered Thursday June 9 2005, 12:21 pm:
Why do you get bored? Because:

-There's nothing to do
-You've done everything you can do
-You're too lazy to find something else to do
-You don't care enough to find something to do
-You're physically enable to find something else to do [ see the pattern? ]

Why don't more questions come up? Because they have to be checked by the L2 mods before they come to the regular questions page. If a moderator (L1, L2 or L3) asks a question, it will show up immediately, it doesn't go through the L2 screening process.

That will help you understand it more.

Edit: Harsh? No way. I'm honest and you asked kinda a dumb question. Sorry. If you'd read the FAQ you would've had to ask that question. That's why the FAQ is there: Frequently Asked Questions. Ya.

It's because all of the questions must be put thRough by ceRtain ModeRatoRs.

***AdvicenatoRs has THIS to say:

"How long does it take for my question to be approved? If all the moderators are out drinking, your question will appear on the site in three hours whether it's approved or not. Hope.. this.. helps?? :D
