Question Posted Saturday June 4 2005, 7:19 pm

i have naturally curly hair. i always straighten it, but lately it's been a hassle and it's ruining my hair. the only thing i don't like about my hair being curly is it's always so frizzy and the curls are way to small and it makes me look like an idiot. i'd like to have big, SOFT, NON FRIZZY curls. how can i achieve this without damaging my hair more?

Additional info, added Saturday June 4 2005, 11:09 pm:
ok, if you want to help me, read the question: i want to know how to tame my curly hair NOT straighten anymore.

My hair is the same as yours. I like straightening it I just don't like the fact that it fries my hair. So I use Pantene Pro-V shampoo and conditioner. There's one that un-frizzes frizzy hair. It smoothens and shines it.

I would try Pantene Pro-V Hydrating Curls. It moisturizes curly hair so that it doesn't become frizzy any more. There are a lot of the Hydrating Curls products, but I would reccommend-
The Hydrating Curls shampoo
The Hydrating Curls conditioner
and definitely it sounds like this would be the product for you- [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
It's the Pantene Pro-V Frizz Control Treatment, and it defines your curls.
Of course, in case you would like to check out the other curl products from Pantene-

This sounds like all the stuff you will need to tame your curly hair.

try the "dream curls" by John Freida (i think)
i had my hair permed last summer and i needed the same sort of thing! After that you can either diffuse it with a hairdryer or scrunch it.
(this is after washing when your hair is wet!!!)

Hope this helps x Megz x

i have curly hair too so i know how hard it is to straighten it. you can probably use a relaxer. or get your hair braided.use curling shampoo&conditioners. curling gel & if you go to school with gel in your hait, you may want to bring the gel to school with you. get you hair thinned if its too thick. ♥

I have the same hair as you.. i use soy shampoo and then put my hair up after in a towel and then bring it out after 15 min or 10 min... and that should work.

Jess5764 answered Saturday June 4 2005, 8:18 pm:
get your hair chemically straightened

Edit: uh the way you word your question it sounds like your asking any way not to make it frizzy without damaging it and i told you, dumbshit.

hahahaha must suck to have naturally curly hair.

you're pretty much screwed.

unless you take my advice of course, and get your hair chemically straightened, then you can curl it how you want it. DUH i didn't include that because i thought you could figure that one out. apparently i was wrong...

Edit Again: No, i am not retarded i am pretty sure i'm a hell of a lot smarter than you.
If you're referring to your additional info saying you didn't want to straighten your hair anymore, nice try you posted that after i answered your question.

"I have naturally curly hair. i always straighten it, but lately it's been a hassle and it's ruining my hair."
i missed the part where you stated you never wanted to straighten your hair anymore. besides getting it straightened isn't YOU straightening it. someone else does it. duh. and it isn't a hassle, and it doesn't ruin your hair. so i win. ha.

but anyways, i love waking up in the morning with naturally perfectly straight hair! i also love being able to curl it how i want it. yay.

have a nice day.
hope i helped <3

Well I have an easy way to have your hair straightened. You get a perm with-out curlers. Or Chemically straightened. It makes your hair striaght, shiny and non-frizzy. It is also healthy fir your hair. it wont damage it. i hope i helped

orphans answered Saturday June 4 2005, 7:50 pm:
Hey, I have curly hair too! And I have always hated it. I also straighten mine, and I know what you mean by "it's ruining my hair." I use a product from my hair salon that's meant for straightening irons. It doesn't dry out your hair.

But, when I want curly hair, I wash it with Pantene Pro-V Winter Rescue shampoo and conditioner. When I'm ready to style my hair, I use Aussie mousse, which is really cheap. I just kind of scrunch it and run my fingers through it. If you're already doing this, the problem probably is how much you're putting in. If it gets frizzy, you're probably not putting in enough. Just don't put too much in or it will look greasy. Experiment to find out what kind of mousse [and how much mousse] to put in your hair.

Hope I helped =)
