Stretch Marks

Question Posted Saturday June 4 2005, 11:39 am

I have bad stretch marks on my legs and I was wondering that when I turn 18 is there any procedures I can do to have them removed or something? Or do I have to put up with them for the rest of my life. I figured since there is plastic surgery for everything else than there might be for this. Also, until then (I'm 15) is there any way I can make this less noticeable? They are really, really bad and I don't know how I got them so bad! I'm not even that fat just a little chubby and I only thought bigger people got them! Well anyway, thanks for the advice, I wasnt sure where to put this!

Before you get plastic surgery or anything durastic, try using a scar remover... i heard Retin-A (an acne perscription) works well. plus they will start to fade away and turn white over time

all girls usually get stretch marks, they are not just from being fat. you can get them if you gain weight too fast (any amount) you can also get them just from growing in general. im not sure of any procedures that you can get to remove them (im sure you could google it though) to make them less noticeable use cocoa butter lotion. it wont get rid of them but deffinetly will lighten them!

Yes there are lotions that will eventually fade stretch marks. Strivectin was a cream created just for that, then it was discovered that it also gets rid of wrinkles, so it is being sold for that also. Problem is that it is very expensive. Usually 130 an ounce. But check out the ingredients, then go buy similar products for less money that hav the same ingredients. Use them every day, and be patient. They will fade with this care.

my best advice is save up as much as you can and go to a pharmacy. these days there is always something on the market for what ever your needs. make sure you get what seems to be the best onne there and read the directions step by step. i'm sure there'll be some promising results.

Coca Butter. Its a lotion and you need to use it all the time. Your strech marks will go away slowly. You wont have them when you get older tho. People get them as they grow so its normal. Dont worry about it. ♥
