You'll know when you change your pad/tampon, and theres no blood on it. Then you can start doing regular things again. Make sure you know the date when you get your period again, or it will be unexpected and thats never good. Yes, you do bloat,get cramps,tired ect. Try taking Midol which is the best, or Tylenol or Advil. You'll feel better. Not for everyone, they shouldnt really get "fat legs" unless your lazy with your period and dont exercise, but not with everyone.

kooka-burra answered Friday June 3 2005, 9:38 pm: Every one is different. For example, I'll have three days of aa heavy flow and the rest of the week is light.
For most people your flow gets lighter at the end of your period. Of you think your period is ending wear some very small thin pads (or panite liners) for a day and if nothing shows up your done.
Yes sometimes when you have your period you may bloat. It is a form of PMS (premenstrual symtom), here are some common PMS symtoms.
acne
* bloating
* fatigue
* backaches
* sore breasts
* headaches
* constipation
* diarrhea
* food cravings
* depression or feeling blue
* irritability
* difficulty concentrating
* difficulty handling stress
Karen answered Friday June 3 2005, 9:35 pm: You will never know when your first period will end, especially the ones in the future. It can last for only 2-4 days or it can last up to 6-8 days. No one knows, not even you, well for now. When you think your period has ended, make sure you still wear a light pad or a pantyliner, just in case. Your stomach can feel bloated when you're on your period and fat does not go to your legs so that's not true. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]

Teza answered Friday June 3 2005, 9:29 pm: Well you never know when it will end. I mean it can last for a pretty long time. Your stomach wil feel bloated and get cramps and stuff. When you think you stopped always make sure you wear light pads because you honestly never know if you've ended or not. All the fat does not go into your legs tho. ♥ [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
