this isnt exactly about sex, but i think it may have something to do with it.
i have a lump on the very top inside of my thigh, underneath, yeah. well its not always there, but every now and then it just kinda shows up. usually for about 4 days or so. but this time its been there for about a week. could this be something wrong, or maybe just a gland. and if it has n e thing to do with it, i am not a virgin. please help, im freaking out! thanks soo much.

LiLReBeL6907 answered Friday June 3 2005, 1:58 am: I highly doubt it would be your lymph nodes. The body has lymphnodes located under the armpits, on the lower abdomen, on the back of the head, and in the neck. The lymph nodes in your body helps to fight against infections and helps your body to rid itself of impurities that could cause these infections. When infection does occur the lymph nodes swell sometimes being very painful. But based on the fact that you said it was a lump on your top, inner thigh, where no lymph nodes are located, I'm pretty sure it can't be that. It is most likely a cyst. Cysts are usually harmless but could be cancerous. Cysts are lumps, located in the breasts, inner thigh, and head region. Most likely if it is a cyst, it is a sebaceous cyst. Sebaceous cysts are non-cancerous and are nothing to be worried about. Most of the time these cysts are painless, but some people feel tenderness or inflaming of the cyst. These cysts form due to the increase in stess or activities. They swell up during those periods of time, and then go down after a few days. If you are still worried about it though, I suggest you go to a doctor and get it checked out just to be sure. ~Sherah [ LiLReBeL6907's advice column | Ask LiLReBeL6907 A Question ]
Vexxia answered Thursday June 2 2005, 5:12 am: It's a lymphnode. They swell when you are getting over an illness or during allergy season. Lymphnodes are dump sites for your immune system, eventually your system will settle and flush all of that bacteria out and the lymphnodes will go back to normal. They are all over your body: under your jaw, in your neck, arm pit, sides, groin, etc. [ Vexxia's advice column | Ask Vexxia A Question ]
