i need to write a poem for my creative writing class. it can be about anything in the whole world. but, the thing is, is that i can't just write a poem off the top of my head like that. is anyone here really good at poetry that can make one for me real quick? it doesnt have to be long, but at least 10 lines, and it can be about anything at all. i really need help on this, ive been trying to think of something for the past hour. thanks so much!!

Letting Go

Searing pain envelops her skin
etching a life of misery and woe
she pauses to watch the river of red
inside she knows there's not longer to go

Her heartbeat pounds in a one sided race
as she watches the pain through closed eyes
visions of hurt and loss so surreal
grief so haunting there comes no cries

Suddenly, her hurt seems to lift away
no more cruelty or endless strife
she need not know the truth be told
she lost the battle for her own life.

Here is one of my poems. You can use it if you'd like. =)

ok .... here goes

her hair swayed with a sunny silken swish
as she walked the jungled halls of school
she was in every guy's dream and wish
she had them wraped around her finger;
the whole spool

yet with every smile and giggle
came a tear at night
in her bed she shakes and wiggles
in discomfort, in pain, in fear
and in remembrance of her decayed delight

she yourns for school;
its her chance to be perfect
there she is popular and cool
and everyone gazes at her glowing face
while she watched her posh watch tick

she dreads the seconds
till she must head for home
then the end-of-day bell beckons
sadly she walks while realizing she cannot escape
so she decides to roam.

sorry that was so depressing! lol it mite be too deep for class....

hope i helped!

Honestly, I do not think anyone will write a poem for you. If you don't believe me, wait and see who replies to this question. It is your grade and your poem, you cannot make someone else write one for you. Do your own homework. Plus, if you don't give credit on who wrote the poem, that's plagiarism. And I don't think you'll give credit because then the teacher will say you didn't write your own poem.

But I will give you advice on how to write that poem of yours. Since the topic can be ANYTHING, that should be easy! There is no such thing as a bad poem. Everyone's poems will be different and what is good or bad all depends on the reader's taste. The only way you'd make a bad poem was if you wrote something like "I like cheese. It's cool. Yes." So just get writing and don't be afraid of what comes out.

To get you inspired, you can look a pictures (your own or from the internet or a book), or read some inspiring quotes (you could search "inspiring quotes" on google, you'll get plenty of results). Some topics at the top of my head: a crush you've had, your best memory, what really moves you, what makes you sad, how you are feeling etc.

Get writing and good luck.
