Question Posted Sunday May 29 2005, 8:33 pm

i pierced my belly button a few nights ago and it got really infected and was in the wrong spot.(a little off center)also i pierced it with one of earrings you pierce your ear with.so the hole was not big enough for the belly ring to fit so i just gave up on it.what can i use to re-pierce it that will make a big enough hole?

Well if you want to re-pierce it, I strongly suggest letting your old piercing hole heal up, because since it is infected, your body's immune system is down, so it is more prone to another infection. So you have two options: 1. Buy a piercing kit online, (it includes a sterilized needle, guide to pierce it correctly, cleaning correctly,....) 2.Go to a well-known Tattoo and Piercing Body shop in your area and have them do it. The second choice is alot more smart and you have a lot less of a chance of getting it infected. But if you must pierce your belly button use an actual piercing kit and read on how to pierce ahead of time. Hope this helps. Good Luck! ~Sherah

Well, 1st of all i think you should let it close up. Second after it closes up, you should go somewhere that is professional and clean.

omg, whats with this bellybutton thing fad. i started it you know, BUT I USED MY HEAD AND WENT TO A PROFESSIONAL PLACE TO GET IT DONE and not an earing you dumbass. now because of your stupidity, you have to wait like 5 months for it to heal, and now theres gonna be an off center scar on your bellybutton. let it close up and go to a professional place. theyre far more intelligent than you.

I've done this a few times out of the 5 times I pierced my own belly button before I got it professionally pierced. You need to clean this 'piercing' that you did and let the hole close up. Don't try piercing it again, since the whole was not centered. Once the hole is closed up, you can use a sewing needle that is about the size of a barbel. Instead of doing this yourself, get your belly button pierced professionally because the piercers knows what they're doing.

You should probably use a thick needle... make sure u put it in bleach before you use it... & i think you would do a lot better if you waited & got it done by a professional
