Today was my last day of school (finally a sophmore, yes!)
But anyway, I had 2 exams to take today. For my math exam, well our teacher taught us songs to remember the formulas by. And I had remembered them though I never actually sang them when the class did.
I got to a problem on my exam and I was stuck on it, then I remebered the song for that particular problem, and it got easy.
Last year we had to memorize a poem in my history class if we even messed up on one word we got a 0. We could try saying it everyday, but only once a day, up until the last day of school until we got it. (Flanders Fields wes the poem)
I turned it into a song to remember it by, and it only took me 2-3 times to get it perfect.

So really if you try and turn something into a poem or song it's a lot easier to remember.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

I'm studying too and I always find mind-mapping or spider diagrams help me remember a lot easier than just reading things, though that can work also.

You should maybe try listening to Eric Delay, he's a hypnotist. He's very good, I've got one of his cds. Not only does he help you study, he makes up feel more positive and confident about yourself. The website is www.hypnosis.netfirms.com

Apart from that, I have nothing to add to Michelle's good answer, so good luck and I'm sure you'll do great in your exams.

Let me put things in perspective. I don't agree, I think you remember things just fine. Though we have have fears that we will forget something important. DO you like music? Do you have favorite songs? How about two years ago? DId you have favorite songs then, ones that you don't like so much now. Do you STILL know the words? I believe that you do. I still remember the words to songs from my high school days. And if you remember your favorite songs also, then you don't have a problem remembering.....you have a problem worrying. Too much. Relax. What method do you use to learn the words to your favorite songs....hearing it/reading it over and over.Do the same with your homework.
GOod luck. I am glad that you are in school and trying to do your best. YOu will be wonderful!
