Crash diets are extremely unheathy, plus they don't keep the weight off. This Amber will gain all she has lost plus 20 to 30 pounds more when she stops starving herself. The reason is that your body when it thinks it is being starved stores everything you eat that doesn't go directly to maintaining your life. Crash dieting slows your ability to burn the calories you take in, your body then stores everything else in fat that you don't burn. These diets are what cause the yo-yo effect. Lose weight then gain more than you lost, then starve to lose that weight only to gain even more the next time. The only way to truely lose the weight and keep it off is not with a diet, but a life style change. You have to commit yourself to a healthy way of eating and exercise that will slowly take of the extra pound then allow you to maintain your ideal weight without the starve and gain cycle. Good Health!

A crash diet is basically eating nothing; I watched True Life also last night and the girl, Amber, only ate an apple for a day and that's why that lady was sort of mad at her, because eating nothing will make you lose weight fast but you'll gain it all back. You don't want to go on a crash diet; you pretty much starve yourself and eat something little, like a fruit, for the whole day. You can lose a lot of weight in a short time by going on a low carb diet, which is healthier than a crash diet. Just diet right and you'll lose weight the healthy way.

DO NOT go on a crash diet. A crash diet means to not eat anything, which is very bad for your health. It could lead to sicknesses, and your body will look TOO skinny and unhealthy. Either way, it won't work for you. I suggest working out and not eating too many snacks. For lunch eat soup and salad and not too many carbs.

First of all, you don't want to go on a crash diet. Basically it's being anorexic for a few weeks. You eat nothing but 2-3 small things like an apple for breakfast lunch and dinner for 2-3 weeks. That's how people end up in the hospital for malnutrition. Do NOT go on a crash diet. You're basically starving yourself. Just eat right and work out. But don't freakin starve yourself. It's not healthy at all. That's why her coach person was disappointed in her because if it.
