Set up a goal each time time you run. Example-I will run 2 laps in 3:00 minutes. Start from little, and make the experience fun. Run with headphones on! =) If you aren't enjoying this, try something else easier like just stretching or going to the gym.
Crysta-Ann answered Friday May 20 2005, 4:27 pm: I get it. But I'm not sure if this is your only problem. Usually people that are made fun of think that it's their looks, but changing only your looks won't give you the self confidence that you want.
Try something that will give you confidence like a Tae-Bo work out video, that will boost your confidence plus get you looking great!
I myself am in Tae-Kwon-Do, that is an excellent way to build confidence on almost every level you could think of. Look around your town foir an American Tae-Kwon-Do association, or any one really, ATA is just one of the most common.
If neither of those is your thing you could also try a cardio aerobics video, there is nothing better than a cardio work out, nothing faster either.
You can usually get a cardio/Tae-bo work out video at Wal*Mart for under $10.00.
But again, it probably isn't your looks because from what you've said I think that you're at about the perfect wieght for your height, maybe even a little small.(no offence!)
Anyway, just try to ignore the people making fun of you, or come up with a sarcastic reply. My cousin has the same problem. I'm really sorry about that though, if whoever is picking on you gets violent or compeltely out of line tell someone, like your friends or a guidance counselor or something. Good luck!! swab answered Friday May 20 2005, 12:53 pm: one thing you could do is some crunches, you could also do some other things to like push ups and jog a little. at first you need to start slow and then you can progress up in your workout routine. and also a first you will be sore. so don't let that stop you because after a few days of exercising you will not be sore. and if you want to get a little thicker you can eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with some milk right before you go to be, believe me this works.
